LILLESHALL HALL GOLF CLUB
Lilleshall Hall Golf Club is set in a quiet and picturesque area of rolling Shropshire countryside untroubled by traffic noise.
The 6253-yard course along with small driving range, sits in 165 acres of land adjacent to Lilleshall Hall and its National Sports Centre. It is characterised by tree lined fairways cutting through mature woodland and generally small, undulating greens.
The village of Lilleshall lies between the towns of Telford and Newport, close to the Junction 3 and 4 of the M54. The course is one of 300 designed and developed by the most famous of golf course architects, Harry S. Colt.
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this relatively flat course makes easy walking, and is a favourite with visiting golfers. Since its opening in 1937, minor changes to the course have been made to ensure that it remains an enjoyable but testing round of golf. Recently, two holes have been extended to create challenging 500 yard+ par 5s.
Played but not mastered by many well-known professionals such as Sam Torrance, Sandy Lyle, Ian Woosnam and Peter Baker – accuracy, good course planning and a sound putting stroke are required to achieve a good score here.
Come and enjoy the hospitality of a friendly CASC registered club and its modern clubhouse – The perfect place to play golf in Telford, Shropshire!
