Captains’ Drive in at Lilleshall Hall Golf Club
The newly elected Captain & Ladies Captain of Lilleshall Hall Golf Club mark the start of their official year representing the golf club.
The drive in took place on Saturday 28th May when New Club Captain, Will Schofield & new Ladies Captain Linda Fisher, were required to “drive off” the first Tee in front of an audience of many club members, to mark the start of their year in office.
Member were given the chance to buy lollypop sticks for £1 which they placed on the fairway to mark where they thought the two ball would reach, this raised £100 for the captain’s charities, which are ”The Severn Hospice” and “Dogs for Good”.
To the great amusement of the crowd Captain Will hit his ball into the trees; however Ladies Captain Linda produced a good drive down the middle of the fairway to rousing cheers from the crowd. Following the “Drive in” the new Captains hosted a shotgun start, 4 Ball competition ensuring that the charity bunker on the 16th hole immediately raised a few pounds to add to the money already raised. The day ended with the Captain and Ladies Captain giving out prizes followed by a social event.
