Seniors’ Spring Open – 19th May 2016

On Thursday 19th May Lilleshall Hall Golf Club hosted its annual Seniors’ Spring Open. A field of 160 players, representing 35 different clubs, braved a mild but damp afternoon , with some of the early starters posting some very impressive scores.

Lilleshall Hall member Tony Pickett was one of the stars of the day with a hole in one on the 16th hole, and at the prize presentation in the evening he was presented with a certificate by Club Captain Will Schofield.

Prize winners were as follows:

Nearest the pin on the 6th – A Steel (Bromsgrove)
Longest Drive on 5th – Terry Beech (LHGC)
Nearest pin in 2 on 18th – Keith Hughes (Druids Heath)
Best gross prize – Brian Evans & Roger Doley (Enville) – 32 points
4th place – Mick O’Connell & Tony Sutton (LHGC) – 43 points
3rd place – Gordon Twigg & Gavin Edwards (LHGC) – 43 points (on countback)
2nd place – Stewart Preston & Mike Mills (Kidderminster) – 46 points
1st place – John Tomlinson & Paul Evans (LHGC) – 47 points

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all those who took part in the day. We look forward to seeing you at one of our future Opens this year.
