We visited Lilleshall Hall Golf Club yesterday on a reciprocal arrangement with Sandwell Park Golf Club.
The greetings we received from the ‘pro’ s shop’ & members alike made all four of us feel very welcome.
The course, even though in the throes of autumn was found to be in excellent condition & all enjoyed its challenge immensely.
The bar staff couldn’t have been more polite, friendly & very professional-sampling a few pints of our favourite tipple made for an excellent conclusion to a very enjoyable, long overdue visit to your excellent establishment.

I am contacting you to let you now what a fantastic day we had at Lilleshall Golf club on Monday 20th September.
My initial contact with the secretary David Martin was extremely helpful in organising a round of golf and a meal afterwards in you club restaurant as a special birthday present for a dear friend.
The course was, as usual, in fantastic condition and the four of us thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf.
The staff from the gentleman in the pro shop to the bar and catering staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient.
The meal was absolutely amazing. Not only did it taste delicious but the choice of vegetables and the presentation was something you would see in a top class restaurant. I wish I had taken a photograph as it is difficult to put into words how good it was.
I would be grateful if you would pass on our sincere thanks to all your staff and a particular thank you to your fantastic chef Rick.

On behalf of Wenlock Olympian Society (WOS) I’m writing to thank Lilleshall Hall Golf Club for hosting the 2021 golf competition. It really was an excellent day.
There were numerous compliments about the course – its beautiful condition and the lovely location which was much enjoyed by everyone – no complaints whatsoever!!! Please pass on our thanks to the green staff who obviously do a fantastic job.
Our thanks must also go to Sue for the Clubhouse management. The restaurant looked great, and Rick and his team in the kitchen produced a splendid meal – certainly one of the best since I began running the competition in 1999. His menu suggestions were exactly right as it was a flexible and yet celebratory dinner.
Could you please also pass on my personal thanks to Mark and Lisa in the pro shop for their support – and for being on the end of the phone whenever I asked for help, particularly in sorting out Lilleshall Hall golf teams and securing the lovely Lady President, Ruth, to join Jonathan’s team. He very much appreciated her wisdom on the course during the competition.
My thanks to you too, David for all your help and support in managing the event. There’s always one more thing to sort out when organising a competition, but somehow, everything got done and the day went smoothly. I very much hope you will agree to have us back again as we have so enjoyed holding the competition at the Club.

Thank you for arranging our four ball at your club for my friends 60th birthday, the hospitality from everyone was excellent. On arrival we met Paul who was extremely hospitable and friendly guy. We also met the golf vice captain Roger who I have not seen for many years and also made us feel very welcome. He introduced me to a lady who was about to start a meeting with Rodger and she said how delighted she was with my son Andrew Heath who had donated the halfway kitchen. She also bought me a beer which was very nice.
The course can only be described as in superb condition, I have played the course many times years ago and I could not believe the new alterations you have made , my friends were also very impressed it was a delight to play. When we returned to the club house we had some more beers and food and we were served by 2 young ladies who provided excellent service. Having travelled throughout the UK with both my children who were both professionals at the time , Sarah on the European tour for 8 years I can assure you that I was impressed.

I have played Lilleshall on several occasions, I really enjoyed the course.
The two nines have different feels to them, but both were challenging and interesting.
The greens were true and even in pace, the fairways well grassed and the back nine a delight.
I was made to feel very welcome in the clubhouse, the staff were welcoming. I can’t wait to go back and play again!

What an amazing Golf Course and Club. I played Lilleshall after a few days of heavy rain. The course though was a pleasure to play. I would seriously recommend a visit.
All par 4s and 3s, some of the 3s being long (200+ yds), most of the 4s short to medium in length. No par 4 was out of 2 well played shots. Many reviews say its a thinking man’s course, I would agree, but a well hit drive doesn’t half help get at the pins! The greens are where the real challenge of the course shows itself. Undulations with cups positioned in some tough places made it hard work to two putt.
The general condition of the course was outstanding from teebox to green. Bunkers were in excellent condition, greens fast (very fast) but fair – No bobbles! and the course direction excellent.
The tee box on the fourth is highly memorable, water all around, with a narrow neck to aim for. The par 3 twelfth was a real test of nerve and accuracy.
The clubhouse is superb, the staff all around were friendly and genuinely pleased to help in any way.
We will revisit I’m sure. Just don’t tell too many people about this gem.
